因为香港政府规定巴士的长度不可超过12米

是的
在60年代, 电车曾一度用铰接车, 多数都是1部双层拖1部单层

有时要等 2-3分钟, 有时可能一次来几部车

And I want to go back to San Francisco so much to ride all kinds of trolleys, not just ding ding.

I might be going to San Francisco next year to visit my friends. Yup, I'll also ride all kinds of trams there including the
famous street cable cars. historical streetcars as well as LRT trams on Church line....hmmmm... of course, last but not
the least, the trolleybuses (trackless trolleys).  

Definitely will spend some time on the Market street to watch different types of trolleys plying through that stretch of
street.

I'm you buddy zachary in edmonton , if you are going to SF next year, I strongly recommend the new Third Street T line LRT as it is scheduled to open later this year or early next year.  This line features some unique structures that are not found on any other LRT lines such as the draw bridge across a canal and several crossings with Southern Pacific Rail-way.  As for cable car or dang dang, in the summer time, you really have to have some patience in order to catch one, they are always fully loaded and operating at a frequency lower than what's been published.
