========================
Taiwan has successfully stayed both tram-free and trolleybus-free ever since the island's existence.That's why many
Taiwanese have no idea what a tram or trolleybus looks like. I've never had any interest in travelling to Taiwan
considering the sheer boredom of Taiwanese cities' street-level public transport which solely and faithfully replies on only
diesel buses, and still diesel buses.
In terms of varieties a metropolis can offer, Taipei can never be put on comparison term with my dear hometown
HongKong which is so much more colourful and vibriant. The swarms of motorbikes and scooters on the streets of Taipei are nothing but simply annoying with all that noise and pollution. It's a disaster!
(Excuse me for Sidetracking a little, perhaps that's part of the reason why in general people from HongKong have a much
better sense of fashion and style as compared to Taiwanese, who are far less charismatic despite whatever outfits they
are in. You are able to tell if that person is Taiwanese just by his outfit and behaviours. For example, in a quiet restaurant
in HongKong sometimes you'd happen to find those talking loudly in "Xu Chun Mei" style-Mandarin. :p) |
